COLUMBIA, Mo. — Due to snow creating slick surfaces on sidewalks and roads, University of Missouri officials have announced a delay in resuming normal operations until 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. The delay includes UM System offices and the MU campus, including classes. Only employees who are situationally critical should report for work prior to 10 a.m.

“Delaying the start of full operations until 10 a.m. will give us the extra time that our crews need to make sure campus is ready,” said Gary Ward, vice chancellor for operations.

All MU Health Care hospitals and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital will remain open 24/7. Campus Dining will remain on regular hours. For more information on MU Health Care, please click here.

Employees who are unsure of their status as to whether or not they are situationally critical should contact their supervisor. More information on MU’s campus closure policies can be found at the below links:

Employees and students are expected to exercise judgment regarding their ability to travel safely to campus when inclement weather is in the area.
