COLUMBIA, Mo. – Due to mechanical issues with a private contractor shuttle service, University of Missouri officials announced that classes would be canceled for Wednesday, Jan. 30.

“We apologize for the late notice, but we just learned that a shuttle service that serves more than 75 percent of off-campus student housing is having mechanical issues and will not be in service today,” said Gary Ward, vice chancellor for operations. “This will make it nearly impossible for thousands of our students to get to campus safely.”

While classes are canceled, all regular operations for the campus remain open. Employees will be expected to report for their normal shifts.
