Media Advisory: An Evening with Nobel Laureate George Smith

An exciting announcement regarding the Nobel Prize money will be made during the event

WHAT: MU professor emeritus and 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry recipient George Smith, along with others from the Mizzou community, will reflect on their experiences during Nobel Week in Stockholm, Sweden. Additionally, Smith and MU Chancellor Alexander Cartwright will make an exciting announcement regarding Smith’s prize money.

WHO: Panelists include:

      • Chancellor Alexander N. Cartwright
      • George Smith, 2018 Nobel prize in Chemistry recipient
      • Patricia Okker, dean of the College of Arts and Science
      • Marjorie Sable, professor emerita of social work and George Smith’s spouse
      • Meg Cunningham, senior convergence journalism major
      • Savannah Rudicel, senior broadcast journalism major
