MEDIA ADVISORY: MUPD, Area Law Enforcement to Conduct Emergency Training Drill

WHAT: The MU Police Department, in collaboration with the Columbia Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boone County Sheriff’s Department, and Columbia Fire and EMS will conduct an extensive training exercise on the MU campus.

Students on campus, motorists and pedestrians in the area of the exercise should expect to see a number of uniformed law enforcement officers including the Columbia Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT). The department’s armored SWAT vehicle and other first response vehicles also will be on scene.
