MEDIA ADVISORY: Gov. Jay Nixon to Address Disability Services Progress at Thompson Center Autism Conference

WHAT: Autism providers and researchers from MU’s Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders will join autism experts from around the country to present the latest research advancements and best practices in caring for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders as part of the 11th annual Autism Conference.

Gov. Jay Nixon will address the group at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 22.

Keynote speakers will discuss communication and behavior strategies for children with autism.        Workshop presenters will cover a range of topics including treatment and interventions, behavior          analysis, education and transition to adulthood.

Media are invited to attend presentations as well as the address by Gov. Jay Nixon.
