MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Symposium Panelist Update

WHAT: The panelists for the symposium, “Is ‘Liberal’ Education out of Style?” scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, have changed. Pat Okker, interim deputy provost at MU, has been added to the panel replacing Richard Wallace, chancellor emeritus.
During the symposium, panelists will discuss compelling reasons why a liberal education is even more important today than in the past and how its continued vitality and central role in American higher education must be ensured. A reception of light refreshments will follow.
