WHAT: The University of Missouri Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences and the Columbia Public Schools Planetarium are partnering again for the Second Annual Dinosaurs and Cavemen Science Expo. The expo allows elementary students and their families to explore the world of dinosaurs and cavemen.
Inside the planetarium, families can watch “Earth’s Wild Ride,” a journey through Earth’s history by exploring the climate and its impact on natural history, particularly during the Ice Age. Outside the planetarium, more than 25 MU students and faculty will host a series of activities and displays focusing on anatomy, paleontology and human origins. Additional activities include cave painting, making dinosaur tracks and mapping a fossil quarry.
