MEDIA ADVISORY: “Waves of Revolution” the Topic of Next Saturday Morning Science

WHAT:  Revolutions appear to be spreading across cities throughout the world, from Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt, to Times Square in New York. Is this something new? At the next Saturday Morning Science, Jonathan Sperber, a curators’ professor of history at the University of Missouri, will discuss why revolutions often occur in “waves” that spread from country to country. He also will look at four waves of revolution that have occurred since the middle of the 19th century and discuss their similarities and differences.

Saturday Morning Science requires no scientific background or knowledge to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
