MEDIA ADVISORY: College of Veterinary Medicine to Host Open House

WHAT:  The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine will open its doors for a day of fun and learning with its annual open house. The event will feature programs and activities that celebrate and educate the public on the mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Activities include petting zoos, shows, demonstrations and a tour of the school. Children will have the opportunity to participate in many activities, including the stick horse rodeo and the teddy bear clinic. Boone County Police dogs and the Purina Incredible Dogs will give demonstrations, and prospective students can learn how to be competitive applicants to veterinary schools.

The event is sponsored by Merial, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Pfizer, Purina, the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and the MU Research Animal Diagnostic Laboratory.
