MEDIA ADVISORY:MU Agriculture Students Host Wrapping Party

Students will be wrapping presents for needy families

WHAT:  The University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Student Council will host an Adopt-A-Family Wrapping Party to wrap gifts for more than a dozen low-income families. This project is coordinated by the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources’ Student Council. Students have helped collect gifts from the community. The gifts will include a gift card for a holiday meal for each family.

WHERE: 145 Stringer Wing, Eckles Hall, MU campus.

WHEN: 5:30 – 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec.8.

NOTE: This event is free and open to the public.

Conducted in association with the Columbia Voluntary Action Center, most of the families selected by the center are single parent households with minors. The center identifies the families selected and works with them to recognize pressing needs such as pots and pans and warm clothes.
