Media Advisory: MU to Host Renowned Water Management Expert

WHAT: As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Missouri Water Resources Research Center (MOWRRC) at the University of Missouri, the MU College of Engineering will host the 2014 MOWRRC Symposium.

Sponsored by Mizzou Advantage and the Chancellor’s Distinguished Speakers Program, the symposium will feature a keynote address, “Global Water Trends, Opportunities and Solutions,” from Glen T. Daigger, president of the International Water Association and chief water technology officer of CH2M HILL, a global water, environment and energy management consulting firm and Fortune 500 company.

Daigger will discuss the factors involved in water management practices, such as growing economies and subsequent population growth and the resulting scarcity of water. In the address, Daigger will offer suggestions to further enhance water management practices.
