WHAT: The University of Missouri Division of Operations, MU Police Department and Department of Emergency Management will host two Active Threat/Active Shooter training sessions for the university community.

WHO: The training sessions are free and open to the public.

WHEN: 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22

             3:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12

Each session will last about 90 minutes.

WHERE: Jesse Auditorium, Jesse Hall, MU campus

NOTE: Safety is the No. 1 priority on campus. MU officials want to be sure that everyone has an opportunity to learn how to react in the unlikely event of a violent attack. Last spring, the university created an Active Shooter Training Video to help educate the campus community and the public about how to best respond in a crisis situation. MU officials strongly encourage everyone to attend one of the sessions.
