MEDIA ADVISORY: Mizzou Botanic Garden to Host Monticello’s Former Garden Director, Peter Hatch

WHAT: As part of the Jacquelyn K. Jones Lectureship, the Mizzou Botanic Garden is hosting Monticello’s former garden director, Peter Hatch. For more than 30 years, Hatch was responsible for the maintenance and conservation of Monticello’s historic gardens that previously belonged to Thomas Jefferson. Hatch also worked with First Lady Michelle Obama to create the White House Kitchen Garden.

Other activities include a tree dedication and a lecture on connecting gardening and the community.
