With Halloween approaching, scientists from the University of Missouri’s Department of Physics and Astronomy will use a Halloween theme featuring Harry Potter and famous astronomers to help young children learn about astronomy.
Children will be allowed to visit the “Hogwarts Astronomy Tower” (Laws Observatory at MU) where they will meet dead astronomers, including Einstein, Galileo, and Tycho Brahe, known for his accurate and comprehensive astronomical and planetary observations. Kids will be able to talk with dead astronomers and view the sky from the observatory with them. Candy and other treats will be available for the kids.
Parents and children who are interested in learning about astronomy.
