MEDIA ADVISORY: Graduate Students Share Fun, Discoveries with Children for Graduate Education Week

WHAT: University of Missouri graduate students will host a free, family event “Mizzou Adventures in Education.” The event will include child-friendly activities that will allow participants to explore art, engineering, computers, music and science.

Children can participate in science experiments, learn to use a microscope and go on a treasure hunt. TJ, the junior mascot for the MU Children’s Hospital, also will attend.  Free tiger stripe ice cream and stickers will be provided for the first 200 kids to attend the event.

This event is part of the MU Graduate Education Week that includes seminars on graduate school, including tips for those applying, and “The Body Project: Forms, Motions and Interdisciplinary Research Conference” presented by graduate students in the English department and the Center for Arts and Humanities.

WHO: This event is sponsored by the University of Missouri Graduate School

WHERE: Jesse Hall, MU Campus

WHEN:10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24  

NOTE: This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Free parking is available in Turner Avenue Garage, on the south side of Jesse Hall.
