Going Mobile: How Newspapers Can Meet the Cell Phone Challenge RJI Fellow to Host Journalism Forum

WHAT: Clyde Bentley, a mobile publishing expert, will convene industry leaders to explore the challenges of mobile technology on the newspaper industry. The two-day event, “Going Mobile: How Newspapers Can Meet the Cell Phone Challenge,” will stimulate provocative conversation about what the future may hold for consumers, reporters and publishers.

“By 2013, mobile phones will overtake computers as the most common Web access device worldwide,” said Clyde Bentley, a Reynolds Fellow and associate professor of journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. “We hope this conference will give us new directions and insights to help newspapers figure out how to add mobile phones to their publishing platforms.”
